Who is effected by cellulite?
Cellulite is mainly a problem found in women; in fact it has been shown through studies that up to 80% of all women experience some struggle with cellulite during their lifetime. However, cellulite is not a problem exclusive to women, and it is a little known fact that up to 20% of men also have a problem with it. Men, however, are less apt to show their skin in the commonly afflicted areas and are often less concerned with immediate visual appearance, and are thus in general less concerned with cellulite. Still, the problem is there and it should be addressed.
Women who suffer from unsightly cellulite are often simply at the mercy of their hormones. You see, cellulite is directly related to estrogen production. Estrogen is primarily concerned with the reproductive system and one of its primary functions is to keep toxins and contaminants away from the reproductive organs. Therefore, they are pushed away into the outer layers of fat where they tend to clump together and form cellulite.
If the skin is strong and collagen is abundant, then this outer layer of fat remains smooth and a good flow from the bloodstream helps siphon off a lot of these toxins. However, if circulation is not good, then the cellulite clumps form and are very stubborn to get rid of. Many people try diet and exercise to little or no avail, and for this there are many cellulite treatments on the market today to help.
For an almost sure fire cellulite cure, it is important to use creams and supplements in addition to your current diet and exercise routine. Don’t try to rely on one product to save your skin if you are still eating fast food every day. However if you are frustrated that you are doing all you can and not seeing the results you want, consider trying an anti-cellulite cream. These deliver nutrients directly to the affected areas and they are a great way to kick cellulite under your skin once and for all.
